How to disable Virtual Store
Disable the Virtual Store feature of Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
If Windows User Account Control (UAC) is enabled for all programs installed in the folder C:\Progammi o C:\Programmi x86 o C:\Progam Files o C:\Progam Files x86 the operating system, unable to write to this folder, moves all the files, including the program's database into the folder
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files(x86)\ProgramName
To disable this restriction you can do this
- From the Control Panel open Administrative Tools
- From Administrative Tools open Local Security Criteria
- Double click on "User Account Control: virtualize file writing errors and in the System Registry in order to distinguish yourself for each user" and set the parameter to Disabled
- Restart the computer
